The kitchen is prepped, the aprons tightly fastened, and things are about to sizzle on Celebrity MasterChef Tamil. Sony VIZHA and Sony LIV present a thrilling new culinary adventure that promises to serve up lots of drama with the right seasoning. Adding to the excitement are accomplished culinary experts: celebrated Chef, restaurateur, hospitality leader and television personality Chef Venkatesh Bhat; acclaimed Chef and MasterChef Australia Season 10 winner Chef Sashi Cheliah; and culinary expert and founder of The French Door, Coimbatore, Chef Shreeya Adka, who will take on the role of judges.
Bringing together their distinctive culinary journeys, international experience and a shared passion for food, the judges on Celebrity MasterChef Tamil will mentor, challenge and push the contestants as they navigate demanding cooking tasks, unexpected twists and the intense pressure of creating dishes that truly stand out.
Produced by Banijay Asia, Celebrity MasterChef Tamil, hosted by Vijay and featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the celebrity judge, will see some of the most recognisable faces from the Tamil entertainment industry step into the exciting culinary world, trading scripts and spotlights for aprons, ingredients, and recipes.

Chef Sashi Cheliah said, “My journey to the MasterChef kitchen was anything but conventional. I began my career in the Singapore Police Force, so the thought of one day stepping into the MasterChef Australia kitchen and eventually winning the trophy was something I could never have imagined. The Indian and Southeast Asian flavours that shaped my childhood and my culinary identity became an integral part of that journey and reminded me of the power of food to tell stories about who we are and where we come from. Coming to Celebrity MasterChef Tamil as a Judge feels incredibly special because I know exactly what it is like to stand on the other side of the kitchen – the nerves, the pressure, the uncertainty, but also the incredible excitement of creating something you are proud of. This time, I get to experience that magic from the other side. I’m looking forward to meeting our celebrity contestants, pushing them beyond their comfort zones and discovering the stories and flavours they bring to the kitchen.”

Sony VIZHA மற்றும் Sony LIV இணைந்து வழங்கும் இந்த புதிய சமையல் நிகழ்ச்சி, சுவையான உணவுகளுடன் எதிர்பாராத திருப்பங்களையும், சுவாரஸ்யமான போட்டிகளையும் வழங்க இருக்கின்றது.

தமிழ் உணவுக்கு மிகப்பெரிய வரலாறும், தனித்துவமான சுவைகளும் உள்ளன. உண்மையான தமிழ் உணவின் சிறப்பை ரசிகர்களுக்கு அறிமுகப்படுத்தி அதன் சுவைகளையும் கதைகளையும் உலகம் முழுவதும் கொண்டு செல்லும் ஒரு நிகழ்ச்சியின் பகுதியாக இருப்பதில் நான் பெருமை கொள்கின்றேன்.”
Chef Sashi Cheliah கூறுகையில் ;
“MasterChef சமையலறைக்குள் நான் வந்த பயணம் மிகவும் வித்தியாசமான ஒன்றாகும். எனது பணியை Singapore Police Force-ல் தொடங்கினேன்,ஒருநாள் MasterChef Australia சமையலறைக்குள் நுழைந்து, இறுதியில் அந்த போட்டியில் வெற்றி பெறுவேன் என்று நான் நினைத்து கூட பார்க்கவில்லை.எனது குழந்தைப் பருவத்தையும் சமையல் பயணத்தையும் உருவாக்கிய இந்திய மற்றும் தென்கிழக்கு ஆசிய உணவுகளின் சுவைகள் என் பயணத்தில் முக்கியமான பங்கு வகித்தது. நாம் யார் எங்கிருந்து வந்தோம் என்பதை உணவின் மூலம் சொல்ல முடியும் என்பதை அந்த அனுபவம் எனக்கு கற்று தந்தது.
இப்போது Celebrity MasterChef Tamil நிகழ்ச்சியில் நடுவராக இருப்பது எனக்கு மிகவும் சிறப்பான அனுபவம். ஒரு போட்டியாளராக அந்த சமையலறையின் மறுபக்கத்தில் நின்றபோது இருந்த பதற்றம், குழப்பம் மற்றும் அதே நேரத்தில் நமக்கு பிடித்த ஒரு உணவை உருவாக்கும் உற்சாகம் என அனைத்தையும் நான் நன்றாக அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்.
இந்த முறை அந்த அனுபவத்தை மறுபக்கத்திலிருந்து பார்க்கப் போகின்றேன்.
Celebrity போட்டியாளர்களை சந்தித்து, அவர்களின் திறமையை சோதித்து, அவர்களின் எல்லைகளைத் தாண்டி முயற்சி செய்ய வைத்து அவர்கள் கொண்டு வரும் கதைகளையும் சுவைகளையும் கண்டறிய மிகவும் ஆவலாக இருக்கின்றேன்.
