“I reduced my weight in 10 days for ADHI MAEDHAVIGAL” says Heroine Ishara Nair

Remember Ishara Nair, who played ‘Banu’ in ‘Sadhuranga Vettai opposite Natty? Ishara is now all set to skip the hearts of youngsters once again by her next flick ‘ADHI MAEDHAVIGAL’, but this time not with her innocence, but with her fun loving nature. Produced by Malcolm under the banner ‘Absolute Pictures’ and directed by debutante Ranjith Manikandan, the Friendship – Comedy film ADHI MAEDHAVIGAL has popular VJ and ‘MO’ fame Suresh Ravi in the male lead.

“I wanted my character to be totally contrasting from my previous film, and hence I have picked up this unique script ADHI MAEDHAVIGAL. I play as SUJI in this film and the movie is all about the arrears of two friends and their struggles to overcome the arrears.

During the audition Director Ranjith Manikandan asked me to reduce my weight in just 10 days. I obviously took this as a challenge and when I visited him back after 10 days for a final audition, they were pleasantly surprised and impressed. There is one certain factor which keeps our Adhi Maedhavigal totally unique from other films. There is no angle of love. Adhi Maedhavigal is all about friendship and I am super excited about its release” says Adhi Maedhavigal Heroine Ishara Nair in enthusiastic tone.

‘சதுரங்க வேட்டை’ படத்தில் நட்டிக்கு ஜோடியாக நடித்தவர் இஷாரா நாயர். இவரின் நடித்த பானு என்கின்ற வெகுளி கதாபாத்திரம் மூலமாக ஒட்டுமொத்த தமிழக ரசிகர்களின் உள்ளங்களையும் கொள்ளை அடித்து சென்ற இஷாரா நாயர், தற்போது ‘அதி மேதாவிகள்’ படத்தில் கதாநாயகியாக நடித்துள்ளார். அறிமுக இயக்குநர் ரஞ்சித் மணிகண்டன் இயக்கி, ‘அப்சலூட் பிச்சர்ஸ்’ சார்பில் மால்காம் தயாரித்து இருக்கும் இந்த ‘அதி மேதாவிகள்’ திரைப்படத்தில், பிரபல தொகுப்பாளர் சுரேஷ் ரவி (மோ படப் புகழ்) கதாநாயகனாக நடித்திருப்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

“நான் முன்பு நடித்த கதாபாத்திரத்தின் சாயல் என்னுடைய புதிய கதாபாத்திரத்திற்கு இருக்க கூடாது என்பதில் நான் மிகவும் கவனமாக இருந்து தேர்வு செய்த திரைப்படம் தான் ‘அதி மேதாவிகள்’. இந்த படத்தில் சுஜி என்கின்ற கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நான் நடித்து இருகின்றேன். இரண்டு நண்பர்கள் தங்களின் கல்லூரியில் வைக்கும் அரியர்ஸ் பற்றியும், அந்த அரியர்ஸை கடந்து வர அவர்கள் எடுக்கும் முயற்சிகளும் தான் அதி மேதாவிகள் படத்தின் ஒரு வரி கதை.

இந்த படத்திற்காக என்னை உடல் எடையை குறைக்க சொன்னார் இயக்குநர் ரஞ்சித் மணிகண்டன். அதற்கு அவர் கொடுத்த கால அவகாசம் வெறும் 10 நாட்கள் தான். இருந்தாலும் இதை நான் சவாலாக எடுத்து கொண்டு, 10 நாட்களில் உடல் எடையை குறைத்தேன். மற்ற எல்லா படங்களில் இருந்தும் எங்களின் அதி மேதாவிகள் படம் தனித்து விளங்கும். காதல் இல்லாமல் வெறும் நட்பை மட்டுமே எங்கள் அதி மேதாவிகள் படம் உள்ளடக்கி இருப்பதே அதற்கு காரணம். படத்தின் வெளியீட்டிற்காக ஆவலோடு காத்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றேன்” என்று உற்சாகமாக கூறுகிறார் அதி மேதாவிகள் படத்தின் கதாநாயகி இஷாரா நாயர்.

‘Adhi Maedhavigal’ is a dedication to all the Arrears students

Based on the powerful concept of forced education on children and the subsequent disinterest the students show in their education , debutante director Ranjith Manikandan has come up with ‘Adhi Maedhavigal’, which portrays the life of Arrears students. ‘Adhi Maedhavigal’ (Utmost Nerds) produced by Malcolm under the banner ‘Absolute Pictures’ gives birth to a brand new genre in Tamil cinema, ‘FRI-COM’ (Friendship Comedy) with the film starring popular VJ Suresh Ravi and Ishaara Nair of ‘Sadhuranga Vettai’ fame in the lead with Thambi Ramaiya, Livingston, Renuka, Madhu (Goli Soda) and Kalloori Vino (Maari Fame) in pivotal roles.

“I was carried away by this Adhi Maedhavigal script on the first hearing itself; because I used to be an out (standing) student (Arrears student) during my college days. We are very much thankful to our producer Malcolm who has instantly agreed to do this project, and we are grateful for his extend support throughout the film. Adhi Maedhavigal is a pure dedication to all arrear students” says Hero Suresh Ravi enthusiastically.

“Two engineering students were forced by their parents to join in B.E course. But since they are not interested in engineering, their acadaemic results end up in arrears. What are they steps they are taking to clear the arrears is the story of our Adhi Maedhavigal. We are planning to release the film shortly” says Director Ranjith Manikandan in a positive tone.⁠⁠⁠⁠

‘அதி மேதாவிகள்’ திரைப்படம் அரியர்ஸ் மாணவர்களுக்கு ஓர் சமர்ப்பணம்

நட்பையும் நகைச்சுவையையும் மையமாக கொண்டு உருவாகி இருக்கின்றது, அறிமுக இயக்குநர் ரஞ்சித் மணிகண்டன் இயக்கி இருக்கும் ‘அதி மேதாவிகள்’ திரைப்படம். ‘அப்சலூட் பிச்சர்ஸ்’ சார்பில் மால்காம் தயாரித்து வரும் இந்த ‘அதி மேதாவிகள்’ திரைப்படத்தில் பிரபல தொகுப்பாளர் சுரேஷ் ரவி (அறிமுகம்) மற்றும் ‘சதுரங்க வேட்டை’ புகழ் இஷாரா நாயர் முன்னணி கதாபாத்திரங்களிலும், தம்பி ராமையா, லிவிங்ஸ்டன், ரேணுகா, மது (கோலி சோடா) மற்றும் மாரி படப்புகழ் கல்லூரி வினோ முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களிலும் நடித்திருப்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

“நானும் ஒரு அரியர்ஸ் மாணவன் என்பதால், இந்த படத்தின் கதையை முதல் முறையாக கேட்ட பொழுதே எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்துவிட்டது. எங்கள் மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து, இந்த படத்தை தயாரித்தது மட்டுமின்றி எங்கள் ஒட்டுமொத்த படக்குழுவினருக்கும் பேராதரவாக இருந்த எங்கள் அதி மேதாவிகள் படத்தின் தயாரிப்பாளர் மால்காம் அவர்களுக்கு, எங்களின் மனமார்ந்த நன்றிகளை தெரிவித்து கொள்கின்றோம். எல்லா அரியர்ஸ் மாணவர்களுக்கும் எங்களின் அதி மேதாவிகள் திரைப்படம் ஓர் சமர்ப்பணம்” என்று உற்சாகமாக கூறுகிறார் கதாநாயகன் சுரேஷ் ரவி.

“பெற்றோர்களின் வற்புறுத்தலால் இரண்டு மாணவர்கள் பொறியியல் கல்லூரியில் சேர்ந்து, படிக்க முடியாமல் அரியர்ஸ் மேல் அரியர்ஸ் வைக்கின்றனர். அதை சரி செய்வதற்கு அவர்கள் என்னென்ன முயற்சிகள் எடுக்கிறார்கள் என்பது தான் எங்கள் ‘அதி மேதாவிகள்’ படத்தின் கதை. விரைவில் எங்கள் படத்தை வெளியிட நாங்கள் முடிவு செய்து இருக்கின்றோம்” என்று நம்பிக்கையுடன் கூறுகிறார் இயக்குநர் ரஞ்சித் மணிகண்டன்.⁠⁠⁠⁠
