திருமணத்துக்குப் பிறகு மணமகள் புகுந்த வீட்டுக்குச் செல்வதுதான் வழக்கம். ஆனால், மணமகளுக்குப் பதிலாக மாப்பிள்ளை தனது பெட்டிகளை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு மணமகள் வீட்டுக்குச் சென்றால் என்ன ஆகும்? இந்த வித்தியாசமான கதைக்களத்துடன் உருவாகியுள்ள ‘பியார் பிரேமா கல்யாணம்’ திரைப்படத்தின் டிரெய்லரை Netflix இன்று வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
இயக்குநர் இளன் இயக்கி, முதன்முறையாக கதாநாயகனாகவும் அறிமுகமாகும் இப்படம், வரும் ஆகஸ்ட் 21-ம் தேதி Netflix-ல் வெளியாகிறது.
டிரெய்லரில், பவி கதாபாத்திரத்தில் சான்வி மேக்னா நடித்துள்ளார். தன்னம்பிக்கையும் தனித்துவமான சிந்தனையும் கொண்ட பவி, தான் வளர்ந்த வீட்டை விட்டு வெளியேற விரும்பாத ஒரு இன்ஃப்ளூயன்சர்.
இதனால், திருமணத்திற்குப் பிறகு அவரது கணவரான இளன், பவியின் வீட்டிற்கே குடியேறுகிறார். அங்கிருந்து தொடங்குகிறது ஒரு வித்தியாசமான குடும்ப வாழ்க்கை.
புதிய வீட்டில் முதல் சந்திப்பு முதல், குடும்பத்தினருடனான உரசல்கள், எதிர்பாராத சம்பவங்கள், கலகலப்பான தருணங்கள் என ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் புதிய அனுபவமாக மாறுகிறது.

இளன் மற்றும் சான்வி மேகனாவுடன் ராதிகா சரத்குமார், யோகி பாபு, எம்.எஸ். பாஸ்கர், கீதா கைலாசம், இளங்கோ குமரவேல், செந்தில், மாறன் உள்ளிட்ட பலர் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர்.
குடும்பக் காட்சிகளுக்கு கூடுதல் வலு சேர்க்கும் வகையில் யுவன் சங்கர் ராஜா இசையமைத்துள்ள பாடல்கள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன.

“‘பியார் பிரேமா கல்யாணம்’ மூலம் அனைவருக்கும் பரிச்சயமான ஒரு விஷயத்தை, அதே நேரத்தில் புதுமையான கோணத்தில் சொல்ல விரும்பினோம். திருமணம் குறித்த நீண்டகால எதிர்பார்ப்புகளுக்கு சவால் விடுக்கும் ஒரு உறவை இந்த டிரெய்லர் அறிமுகப்படுத்துகிறது.
குடும்பத்தின் தனித்துவத்தையும், அதில் இருக்கும் அன்பு, சிரிப்பு, ஒற்றுமை ஆகியவற்றையும் கொண்டாடும் கதையாக இது இருக்கும். எனது நடிப்பு அறிமுகத்தை எனக்கு மிகவும் நெருக்கமான ஒரு கதையின் மூலம் தொடங்குவது மிகவும் சிறப்பான அனுபவமாக இருந்தது. உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள ரசிகர்கள் இந்தப் படத்தை Netflix மூலம் ரசிப்பதற்காக ஆவலுடன் காத்திருக்கிறேன்” என்றார்.
பவி கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்துள்ள சான்வி மேக்னா கூறுகையில்..,
“பவி தன்னம்பிக்கையானவள், சுதந்திரமானவள். தனக்கென ஒரு தனித்துவமான அடையாளத்துடன் இருப்பவள். அதே நேரத்தில் தான் நேசிக்கும் மனிதர்களை ஒருபோதும் விட்டுக்கொடுக்காதவள்.
தனக்கு என்ன வேண்டும் என்பதில் அவள் தெளிவாக இருக்கிறாள். அதுதான் அந்தக் கதாபாத்திரம் என்னை ஈர்த்ததற்கான முக்கிய காரணம். டிரெய்லரில் பவியின் குணத்தை அழகாக வெளிப்படுத்தியிருக்கிறார்கள். காதலும், வாழ்க்கைத்துணை உறவும் எப்படி இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்கு புதிய கோணத்தை பவி காட்டுவதை ரசிகர்கள் ரசிப்பார்கள் என்று நம்புகிறேன்” என்றார்.

12 August, 2026: What happens when the maapillai (groom/ son-in-law) packs his bags instead of the bride? Netflix today unveiled the trailer for Pyaar Prema Kalyanam, a wholesome Tamil family entertainer that flips one of marriage’s oldest traditions on its head. Directed by and starring Elan in his acting debut, the film premieres on Netflix on 21 August.
The trailer introduces Pavi (Saanvee Meghana), a spirited influencer who refuses to leave the home she’s always known. Instead, her husband (Elan) moves into her house, stepping into a lively new family where every day is a fresh sambavam (experience). Between awkward first impressions, hilarious clashes and chaos, one question takes centre stage: who said the bride is always the one who has to leave?
As expectations are turned upside down, Pyaar Prema Kalyanam serves up romance, comedy and heartfelt moments in equal measure, proving that marriage is about finding what works for you.
Joining Elan and Saanvee Meghana is a powerhouse ensemble featuring Radhika Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, M.S. Bhaskar, Geetha Kailasam, Elango Kumaravel, Senthil and Maran, bringing warmth, wit and full-on family kalatta to every scene. Complementing the laughter is Yuvan Shankar Raja’s soulful soundtrack, adding heart to this refreshing take on love, family and happily ever after.
