ஜெர்மனியில் குடியேறிய தமிழ் வம்சாவளியைச் சேர்ந்த பிரசாத் லோகேஸ்வரன், தமிழ் சினிமா மீதான தனது ஆர்வத்தைத் தொடர முடிவு செய்துள்ளார்.
ஜெர்மனியில் நடிப்பு, சண்டை மற்றும் டப்பிங் உள்ளிட்டவைகளில் தொழில்முறை பயிற்சி பெற்ற பிரசாத், ஏராளமான நாடகங்களிலும் நடித்துள்ளார். இருப்பினும், அவரது கனவு எப்போதும் தமிழ் படங்களில் நடிப்பதுதான். “என் தந்தை எம்.ஜி. ராமச்சந்திரனின் தீவிர ரசிகர். அவர் என்னை எம்.ஜி.ஆரின் படங்களுக்கு அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார், இது தமிழ் சினிமா மீதான எனது அன்பைத் தூண்டியது,” என்று சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினிகாந்தின் தீவிர ரசிகரான பிரசாத் தெரிவித்தார்.
“ரத்தமாரே” படத்தில் கதாநாயகர்களில் ஒருவராக பிரசாத் அறிமுகமாகிறார். ரத்தமாரே குழுவினரை ரஜினிகாந்த் ஆசீர்வதித்தார். “ரஜினி சாரை சந்தித்தது மிகவும் அற்புதமான அனுபவமாக இருந்தது. அவரது ஆசீர்வாதங்கள் எனக்கு உலகத்திற்கு நிகரானது,” என்று நடிகர் பிரசாத் கூறினார். பிரசாத் முதன்மை கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடிக்கும் ரத்தமாரே படத்தின் தலைப்பை “மக்கள் செல்வன்” விஜய் சேதுபதி வெளியிட்டார்.
தற்போது பிராட் பிட்டின் நடிப்பு பயிற்சியாளரிடம் பயிற்சி பெற்று வரும் பிரசாத், ஜெர்மன் மொழி ஆசிரியராக பணியாற்றி வருகிறார். பல வெளிநாடுவாழ் இந்தியர்களைப் போல் இல்லாமல், தனது பாரம்பரியத்துடன் மீண்டும் இணைய இந்தியாவில் குடியேற விரும்புகிறார்.
ரத்தமாரே படப்பிடிப்பை முடித்து வெளியீட்டிற்கு தயாராகி வரும் நிலையில், பிரசாத் ஏற்கனவே பிற நம்பிக்கைக்குரிய திட்டங்களுக்கான பேச்சுவார்த்தைகளில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளார், இது திரைப்படத் துறையில் அவருக்கு பிரகாசமான எதிர்காலத்தைக் குறிக்கிறது.
Prashath Lokeswaran, a Tamil descendant settled in Germany, has returned to his roots to pursue his passion for Tamil cinema.
Having undergone professional training in acting, stunts, and vocals in Germany, Prashath has also performed in numerous plays. However, his ultimate dream has always been to act in Tamil films. “My father is an ardent fan of M.G. Ramachandran. He introduced me to MGR’s films, which sparked my love for Tamil cinema,” shares Prashath, who is also a devoted fan of Superstar Rajinikanth.
Prashath is making his debut as one of the lead in the film Rathamaarey. The Rathamaarey crew was blessed by Rajinikanth himself. “Meeting Rajini sir was surreal. His blessings mean the world to me,” says the actor, who considers the moment a highlight of his journey. The title of the movie was unveiled by “Makkal selvan” Vijay Seethupathy.
Currently training under Brad Pitt’s acting coach, Prashath balances his passion for acting with his role as a German language teacher.
Unlike many NRIs, he aspires to settle in India to reconnect with his heritage. Adding to his Tamil connection, Prashath is married to a Tamil actress.
With Rathamare having wrapped up shooting and preparing for release, Prashath is already in discussions for other promising projects, signaling a bright future in the film industry.
