Sri Pawan Kalyan visits Sri Armuliga Subramaniya Swamy Temple in Tiruchendur

Deputy Chief Minister Sri Pawan Kalyan garu visited Sri Armuliga Subrahmaniya Swamy Temple in Tiruchendur, which is like a stage for victory in battles, on the coast of the Bay of Bengal. As part of his tour of the Shashta Shanmukha Kshetras across South India, he visited the famous Sri Subrahmaniya Swamy temple in Tiruchendur on Thursday. Along with Sri Pawan Kalyan garu, his son Sri Akira Nandan and TTD Board member Sri Anand Sai were present. The temple trust board chairman Sri R. Arumurgan Takkar, temple joint commissioner Sri Jnana Shailaran and temple priests gave a traditional welcome to Sri Pawan Kalyan garu. Later, he entered the temple following the traditions of the temple. According to the Skanda Purana, Lord Subrahmaniya came to this shore to kill a demon named Surapadhman, who was hiding inside the ocean. After killing the demon, he emerged victorious in this particular place as per the ancient texts. Hence, this temple is considered a symbol of victory, and devotees come here to worship Lord Murugan. Between 1646-48, when the Dutch took over this area from the Portuguese, they also tried to take control of the Tiruchendur temple management, but the locals rebelled against them and defended the temple. Thousands of devotees visit this coast everyday, inorder to experience the powerful spiritual energy present in this area. Sri Pawan Kalyan garu visited the temple and performed special rituals to Sri Subramaniya Swamy. The temple authorities also explained to him, the temple’s speciality, its management, and the services provided to the devotees. Sri Pawan Kalyan also made offerings to the diety as per the traditions of the temple.
Do Good for the Country and the People
After visiting Sri Subrahmaniya Swamy in Thiruchendur, Sri Pawan Kalyan spoke to the media and said “This journey is purely spiritual. It has nothing to do with the politics. I also congratulated actor Vijay when he entered politics. I wish that whoever enters politics, does good things for the people and the country. Politics should be used for the welfare of the people. I wish that the people of Tamil Nadu live in complete harmony & happiness. I pray to Sri Subrahmaniya Swamy for good health and long life of the people of our country. I prayed for the well-being of the nation,” he said.

சாஷ்ட சண்முகா கோயில் யாத்திரையின் பகுதியாக, துணை முதல்வர் ஸ்ரீ பவன் கல்யாண் திருச்செந்தூர் சுப்ரமணிய சுவாமி கோயிலில் சுவாமி தரிசனம் செய்தார். அவருக்கு கோயில் நிர்வாகிகள் பாரம்பரிய முறையில் வரவேற்பு அளித்தனர்.
திருச்செந்தூரில் புகழ்பெற்ற ஸ்ரீ ஆர்முலிகா சுப்பிரமணிய சுவாமி கோயிலுக்கு துணை முதல்வர் ஸ்ரீ பவன் கல்யாண் சென்றார். தென்னிந்தியா முழுவதும் உள்ள சாஷ்ட சண்முக க்ஷேத்திர யாத்திரையின் ஒரு பகுதியாக, திருச்செந்தூரில் உள்ள பிரசித்தி பெற்ற ஸ்ரீ சுப்பிரமணிய சுவாமி கோயிலில் வியாழக்கிழமை தரிசனம் செய்தார்.
ஸ்ரீ பவன் கல்யாண் அவர்களுடன், அவரது மகன் ஸ்ரீ அகிரா நந்தன் மற்றும் TTD குழு உறுப்பினர் ஸ்ரீ ஆனந்த் சாய் ஆகியோரும் உடனிருந்தனர். கோயில் அறங்காவலர் குழு தலைவர் ஸ்ரீ ஆர்.ஆறுமுருகன் தக்கர், கோவில் இணை கமிஷனர் ஸ்ரீ ஞான ஷைலரன் மற்றும் கோயில் அர்ச்சகர்கள் பவன் கல்யாணுக்கு பாரம்பரிய முறைப்படி வரவேற்பு அளித்தனர். பின்னர், பாரம்பரிய முறைப்படி கோயிலுக்குள் நுழைந்தார். ஸ்கந்த புராணத்தின் படி, கடலுக்குள் மறைந்திருந்த சூரபத்மன் என்ற அரக்கனைக் கொல்ல சுப்பிரமணிய பகவான் இந்தக் கரைக்கு வந்தார்.
அரக்கனைக் கொன்ற பின்பு, அவர் வெற்றி பெற்ற இந்த இடத்தில் எழுந்தருளியுள்ளார் என பண்டைய நூல்களில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளன. எனவே, இந்த கோயில் வெற்றியின் அடையாளமாக கருதப்படுகிறது. 1646-48 க்கு இடைப்பட்ட காலக்கட்டத்தில் டச்சுக்காரர்கள் இந்த பகுதியை போர்த்துகீசியர்களிடமிருந்து கைப்பற்றியபோது, அவர்கள் திருச்செந்தூர் கோயில் நிர்வாகத்தையும் தங்கள் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் வைக்க முயன்றனர். ஆனால், மக்கள் அவர்களுக்கு எதிராக கிளர்ச்சி செய்து இந்த கோயிலைப் பாதுகாத்தனர். இங்கு முருகனை தரிசிப்பதற்காக தினமும் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் வருகை தருகின்றனர். ஸ்ரீ பவன் கல்யாண் அவர்கள், கோயிலுக்குச் சென்று ஸ்ரீ சுப்பிரமணிய சுவாமிக்கு சிறப்பு வழிபாடுகள் செய்தார். மேலும், கோயிலின் சிறப்பு, நிர்வாகம், பக்தர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் சேவைகள் குறித்தும் கோயில் நிர்வாகிகள் விளக்கமளித்தனர். ஸ்ரீ பவன் கல்யாண் கோயில் மரபுகளின்படி பிரசாதம் வழங்கினார்.
திருச்செந்தூரில் உள்ள ஸ்ரீ சுப்பிரமணிய சுவாமியை தரிசனம் செய்த பின் செய்தியாளர்களிடம் பேசிய ஸ்ரீ பவன் கல்யாண், “இந்தப் பயணம் முற்றிலும் ஆன்மீகம் சார்ந்தது. இதற்கும் அரசியலுக்கும் சம்பந்தம் இல்லை. நடிகர் விஜய் அரசியலுக்கு வந்தபோது நானும் வாழ்த்தினேன். அரசியலுக்கு யார் வந்தாலும் நாட்டுக்கும் மக்களுக்கும் நல்லது செய்ய வேண்டும் என்பதுதான் என் விருப்பம். அரசியல் களம் மக்கள் நலனுக்கு பயன்பட வேண்டும். தமிழ்நாட்டு மக்கள் மகிழ்வுடன் வாழ வாழ்த்துகிறேன். நமது நாட்டு மக்களின் நீண்ட ஆயுளுக்காகவும் கடவுளிடம் நான் பிரார்த்தித்துள்ளேன்” என்றார்.
