கலைமாமணி ஸ்ரீதர் ஏஆர்எஸ் டான்ஸ் அகாடமி பெருமையுடன் வழங்கிய ‘டான்ஸ் டான் 2’ சென்னையில் பிரம்மாண்டமாக நடைபெற்றது
1973 முதல் 2026 வரை திரைத்துறையில் பங்களித்த 125 நடன இயக்குநர்கள் மற்றும் தமிழகத்தின் அனைத்து மாவட்டங்களிலிருந்தும் 38 நடனப் பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்கள் கௌரவிக்கப்பட்டனர்.
முன்னணி நடன இயக்குநர் கலைமாமணி ஸ்ரீதர் மற்றும் அவரது மகள் அக்ஷதா ஸ்ரீதர் தலைமையில் சென்னையின் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளில் வெற்றிகரமாக இயங்கி வரும் ஸ்ரீதர் ஏஆர்எஸ் டான்ஸ் அகாடமி, தனது மாணவர்களை ஊக்குவிக்கும் நோக்கிலும், கலைத் துறையில் பங்களித்து வரும் கலைஞர்களைக் கௌரவிக்கும் நோக்கிலும் தொடர்ந்து பல்வேறு நிகழ்ச்சிகளை நடத்தி வருகிறது.
அதன் தொடர்ச்சியாக, அகாடமியின் பிரம்மாண்டமான ‘டான்ஸ் டான் 2’ நிகழ்ச்சி ஜூலை 25 அன்று சென்னை வேல்ஸ் கலையரங்கில் சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது. இந்த நிகழ்ச்சிக்காக இதுவரை இல்லாத வகையில் ஒரு சிறப்பு முன்னெடுப்பை ஸ்ரீதர் ஏஆர்எஸ் டான்ஸ் அகாடமி மேற்கொண்டது.
இந்த நிகழ்வில், 1973 முதல் 2026 வரை தமிழ்த் திரைத்துறையில் பங்களித்த 125 நடன இயக்குநர்கள்* மற்றும் *தமிழகத்தின் அனைத்து மாவட்டங்களிலிருந்தும் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட 38 நடனப் பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்கள் ஒரே மேடையில் கௌரவிக்கப்பட்டனர். மேலும், ஸ்ரீதர் ஏஆர்எஸ் டான்ஸ் அகாடமி மாணவர்களின் விறுவிறுப்பான மற்றும் கண்கவர் நடன நிகழ்ச்சிகள் பார்வையாளர்களின் பெரும் வரவேற்பைப் பெற்றன.
நிகழ்ச்சியில் பேசிய நடன இயக்குநர் ஸ்ரீதர் மாஸ்டர் கூறுகையில், “பல ஆண்டுகளாக திரைத்துறையில் பணியாற்றி வரும் நான், நமக்கு முன்னர், நம்முடன் மற்றும் நமக்குப் பின்னர் பணியாற்றிய நடன இயக்குநர்கள் குறித்த ஒரு விரிவான தேடலை மேற்கொண்டேன். பல்வேறு ஆதாரங்களை சேகரித்தபோது, 1973 முதல் 2026 வரை திரைத்துறையில் நடன இயக்குநர்களாக பங்களித்த 125 பேர் இருப்பது தெரியவந்தது.
அவர்களில் சிலர் முன்னாள் முதல்வர்கள் எம்.ஜி.ஆர். மற்றும் ஜெயலலிதா ஆகியோரின் திரைப்படங்களிலும் பணியாற்றியவர்கள் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. அவர்களையும், தமிழகத்தின் அனைத்து மாவட்டங்களிலிருந்தும் நடனப் பள்ளிகளை நடத்தி வரும் 38 ஆசிரியர்களையும் ஒரே மேடையில் கௌரவிக்க முடிந்தது மிகுந்த மகிழ்ச்சியளிக்கிறது,” என்றார்.
தொடர்ந்து அவர் பேசுகையில், “இந்த 125 நடன இயக்குநர்களில் நூற்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்டோருக்கு தற்போது போதிய வாய்ப்புகள் இல்லை. அதேபோல், பல்வேறு சவால்களுக்கு மத்தியிலும் நடனப் பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்கள் தங்களது பணியை தொடர்ந்து செய்து வருகிறார்கள். இந்த நிகழ்வின் மூலம் நடன இயக்குநர்களுக்கு புதிய வாய்ப்புகளும், நடனப் பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு உரிய அங்கீகாரமும், ஊக்கமும் கிடைத்தால் அதுவே இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியின் மிகப்பெரிய வெற்றியாக இருக்கும்,” என்று தெரிவித்தார்.

125 film choreographers who have contributed to the industry from 1973 to 2026 and 38 dance school teachers from across Tamil Nadu were honoured
Kalaimamani Sridhar ARS Dance Academy, led by renowned choreographer Kalaimamani Sridhar and his daughter Akshadha Sridhar, successfully hosted ‘Dance Don 2’, a grand celebration of dance, at Vels Kalaiarangam in Chennai on July 25. The academy, which has been imparting dance training at multiple centres across Chennai, organised the event to encourage its students while recognising the invaluable contributions of dance professionals.
One of the highlights of the event was the honouring of *125 film choreographers* who have contributed to the Tamil film industry between 1973 and 2026. The academy also felicitated *38 dance school teachers* representing every district of Tamil Nadu in recognition of their dedication to nurturing the next generation of dancers.
The event also featured vibrant and captivating performances by the students of Kalaimamani Sridhar ARS Dance Academy, earning enthusiastic appreciation from the audience.
Speaking at the event, choreographer Sridhar Master said, “Having worked in the film industry for many years, I wanted to document and recognise the choreographers who came before us, worked alongside us, and followed us into the industry. During my research and while collecting various records, I was delighted to discover that 125 choreographers have contributed to the industry from 1973 to 2026.
“Among them are artistes who have worked with former Chief Ministers M.G. Ramachandran (MGR) and J. Jayalalithaa. Bringing all these choreographers together on one stage and honouring them, along with 38 dance school teachers from across Tamil Nadu, has been a truly memorable experience.”
He further added, “More than a hundred of these 125 choreographers currently have limited or no work opportunities. Likewise, many dance teachers continue to run their schools despite numerous challenges. If this initiative helps create new opportunities for choreographers while bringing greater recognition and encouragement to dance school teachers, it will be the greatest success of this event.”
‘Dance Don 2’ stood as a heartfelt tribute to the pioneers, veterans, and educators who have dedicated their lives to the art of dance, celebrating their contributions and reaffirming the importance of preserving and promoting the rich legacy of dance in Tamil Nadu.
