Kalaa Manjari after school creativity centre celebrates its 10th anniversary on 28th September 2019
Kalaa Manjari is an after school activity centre which focuses on classes #Beyond Academics as its USP. Kalaa Manjari is run by Mrs. Jayashree Chinne Narayanan, wife of renowned actor Chinne Jayanth and an entrepreneur in her own right.
Mrs. Jayashree strongly believes that all children have inborn talent and these need to be nurtured with love and care. In order to do this, Kalaa Manjari provides a creative environment along with skilled and friendly faculty to help them learn and thrive.
An IBM survey says “successfully navigating an increasing complex world will require creativity” and this is exactly the vision of Kalaa Manjari, who are the pioneers in the field of after school activities and strongly believe children should know beyond academics.
In today’s highly competitive world, to have a holistic development, kids need to develop skills which they can use at any age. Over the years, Kalaa Manjari has being doing just this.
Marking the 10th year anniversary, Kakaa Manjari is showcasing their journey by felicitating their talented students and teachers. The special guests for the evening were Ms. Gautami – Award Winning Film and Television actor, Dr. Regeena Jeppiaar Murali – Chairman and Managing Director, Jeppiar Engineering College, Ms. Jeyashree Ravi – Proprietor, Palam Silks and Mr. Dinesh Victor, Managing Director, SIP Academy India Pvt Ltd.
Kalaa Manjari also have dance, music, keyboard and Karate performances by their talented kids and teachers and an art exhibition in their centre.
Over the years the centre has had numerous celebrities who have come and been part of the activities and supported Kalaa Manjari in this journey of holistic development of children. • Creative skills –
o Kalaa Manjari has the Franchisee of the Global Art program., the worlds no 1 children’s Creative Art program which started in Malaysia in 1999 In its 20-year journey across 17 countries and 7 states in India, the program has been highly successful with innumerable children starting their tryst with creativity with Global Art! The program for 5-15-year-old children This year Kalaa Manjari and its Founder were given the ‘TITAN AWARD ‘- Top Business Associate of Global Art. An award is given only to the TOP 10 centers in India, no mean achievement. Global Art Alwarpet was presented the Titan Award by Mr. Dinesh Victor, Managing Director, SIP Academy India Pvt Ltd. The Award was received by Mrs. Jayashree Chinne Narayanan, Founder Kalaa Manjari, and Global Art Alwarpet. The Global Art children have also won various International and National Competitions over the years
• Adult workshops – an avenue for adults to learn various mediums of creativity as there is no age to learning!
• Musical skills –
o Shloka and Carnatic vocal classes are conducted to introduce the young to musical skills
o Keyboard and Guitar classes to increase the child’s musical skills!
• Problem solving skills –
o Chess – an ancient game extremely helpful in developing the child’s ability to think ahead and make strategic moves! Chess classes is conducted by national coach and arbiter Mr. Mahesh
• Verbal skills
o Public Speaking – our public speaking class aims to solve a perennial problem of parents, which is to make their child better in conversational English!!
• Self-development skills
o Karate – an ancient self-defense art form that helps the child face unexpected situations in life with confidence.
• Western dance – enhanced hand leg coordination and improved dancing skills will ensure that the child has no stage fear and his self-confidence improves a lot!
• Communication skills
o Written communication – English and Tamil handwriting classes ensure better clarity and speed and this will ensure that the child scores better marks too.
