‘தேவ்’ ஒரு காதல் படம் ஆனால் காதலைப் பற்றி பேசும் படமல்ல – கார்த்தி
கார்த்தி பேசும்போது
தயாரிப்பாளர் லக்ஷ்மனும் நானும் குழந்தை பருவ நண்பர்கள். எப்போதும் ஒன்றாக தான் இருப்போம். அவரைப் பார்த்து இப்படி ஒரு உண்மையான மனிதன் இருக்க முடியுமா? என்று ஆச்சர்யபட்டிருக்கிறேன். அவரின் தாத்தா வெற்றி படமான “மதுர வீரனை” தயாரித்தவர். லக்ஷ்மன் அவரின் பரம்பரையிலிருந்து வந்து இப்படத்தை தயாரிப்பதில் மகிழ்ச்சியும் நம்பிக்கையும் இருக்கிறது.
இப்படம் காதல் கதை மட்டுமல்ல. உங்களை சுற்றியிருக்கும் அனைத்தையும் விரும்ப வேண்டும் என்று கூறும் படம். இந்த நிமிடம் உன்னுடைய இதயம் என்ன சொல்கிறதோ அதை செய் என்ற கருத்தை தாங்கி வரும்.
ரஜாத் திறமையான இயக்குநர். அவர் இன்னும் நிறைய படங்கள் இயக்க வேண்டும் என்று அவரை பார்க்கும் போதெல்லாம் கூறுவேன்.
ரகுல் ப்ரித் சிங் சிறந்த நடிகை. இதுபோல அவர் பல கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடிக்க வேண்டும். இப்படத்திற்காக ஒவ்வொருவரும் கடுமையாக உழைத்திருக்கிறார்கள். அனைவருக்கும் இப்படம் மிகவும் பிடிக்கும் என்று கூறினார்.
தயாரிப்பாளர் லக்ஷ்மன் பேசுகையில்,
குழந்தை பருவத்தில் என் வாழ்க்கையின் ஒரு பகுதியாகவே கார்த்தி இருந்தார். அவருடன் இருக்கும் தருணங்கள் அழகானதாக இருக்கும். ரஜாத் கதை சொல்லும்போது என்ன கூறினாரோ அதை அப்படியே படமாக்கிக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். பல இடங்களில் படப்பிடிப்பு நடத்தினோம். அங்கு சவாலான பல தருணங்களை சந்தித்தோம். பட குழுவினரின் இந்த செயலைக் கண்டு நான் பிரமித்தேன் என்றார்.
ரகுல் ப்ரீத் சிங் பேசும்போது
இயக்குநர் ரஜாத் என் மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து இந்த கதாபாத்திரத்தைக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். கதை கேட்டதும் எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்திருந்தது. அதிலும் என்னுடைய கதாபாத்திரத்தை விரும்பி நடித்தேன். இயக்குநர் மிகவும் கடினமாக உழைத்திருக்கிறார்.
கார்த்தியைப் பற்றி நான் சொல்லி தெரிய வேண்டியதில்லை. அவருடன் பணியாற்றுவது கடினமாக இருக்காது. ‘தீரன் அதிகாரம் ஒன்று’ எங்கள் கூட்டணி வெற்றி பெற்றது. அதுபோல் இப்படத்திலும் வெற்றி பெரும் என்று நம்புகிறேன். கார்த்திக்குடன் இன்னும் பல படங்களில் இணைந்து பணியாற்றும் அழகான வாய்ப்பு கிடைக்க வேண்டும் என்று விரும்புகிறேன் என்றார்.
இயக்குநர் ரஜாத் ரவி ஷங்கர் பேசும்போது
இந்த கதை தான் என்னுடைய முதல் படமாக இருக்கும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கவில்லை. ஒரு இரவு உணவு வேளையில் பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் போது தான் முடிவானது.
இப்படம் எடுத்து முடிக்க குறைவான நேரம் தான் ஒதுக்கினோம். ஆனால் அதற்குள் படப்பிடிப்பிற்கு தேவையான அனைத்து உபகாரணங்களையும் தயாரிப்பு நிர்வாகம் சிறப்பாக செய்து கொடுத்தார்கள்.
கார்த்திக் அண்ணாவின் முதல் படத்திலிருந்தே நான் அவருடைய ரசிகன். இப்படத்திற்காக கடினமாக உழைத்திருக்கிறார். மேலும் எனக்கு மிகவும் உறுதுணையாக இருந்தார்.
ரகுல் ப்ரீத் சிங்கை பொறுத்தவரை வந்தோம், நடித்தோம், சென்றோம் என்ற பழக்கம் அவரிடம் இருக்காது. அவரது நடிப்பில் நிச்சயம் தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்துவது போல் தான் இருக்கும். இந்த படத்தில் அவருடைய முழு திறமையையும் காட்டியிருக்கிறார்.
அனைத்து தொழில்நுட்ப கலைஞர்களுடன் பணியாற்றியதில் மகிழ்ச்சி என்றார்.

The press meet of Karthi-Rakul Preet a Singh starrer DEV was held this evening in Chennai with entire team present to interact with media. The film is produced by S Lakshman of Prince Pictures with Harris Jayaraj composing music. Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishnan, RJ Vignesh, Amrutha and many other prominent actors are a part of this film, which is scheduled for release on February 14.
Actor Karthi said, “Producer Lakshman and I have been childhood friends and we have always been together from our early stages of lives. I have always wondered how a person can be so much genuine and honest. When he decided to venture into production, I was so much happy and confident that he will be successful for his grandfather was the producer of “Madura Veeran” and the production of films is in his genes. I am so much emotionally excited as we are doing a film together.”
Shedding lights on the film, Karthi says, “This is a love story, but it isn’t about romance. It is a film that speaks about loving everything around you. Live the moment, love and do what your heart says is what DEV all about. Rajath Ravishankar is really a talented filmmaker and being a first timer, he has exerted an unbelievable work. I always keep telling him that he should continue to make more movies. Rakul Preet Singh has been a great performer and she has really breathed more life into this character. Every time when Harish Jayaraj composes music for Suriya Anna, I always wonder and desire when I will get that opportunity. Now I am happy that it’s happening through DEV. Everyone in the film have worked giving heart and soul into the film, which I believe audiences will surely enjoy in theatres.”
Actress Rakul Preet Singh said, “When working with Karthi in Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, I used to tell Karthi that I wanted to work in a full-fledged romantic film. This is when he asked me to listen to a script and I was so much obsessed with it. Rajath Ravishankar has crafted a story that is so much colourful with amusing and emotional elements spangled together.”
Director Rajath Ravishankar said, “The inception of DEV happened over a casual chat and I never thought it would be my first project. I just wrote it without any such plans. I am unconditionally thankful to Lakshman sir for having given me an opportunity. It’s same with Karthi sir who believed in a newcomer like me.”
Producer Lakshman of Prince Pictures said, “Karthi has been a part of my life from childhood and this is a beautiful moment to have both of us working together. I am literally happy that Rajath Ravishankar has delivered what he promised as a script. Shooting this film across various locations under many adverse conditions was a challenge and I am awestricken by the way how the production team pulled it off.”
